Gringsing Weaving is made of cotton yarn woven using double binding technique that takes 2 to 5 years. This cloth comes from Tenganan Village, Karangasem Regency, Bali. The word Gringsing comes from “gring” which means sick and “sing” means no, so it can be combined into “not sick”. The meaning contained in the word “not sick” is the repellent of disaster. Usually gringsing cloth is used as a backrest when there is a traditional ceremony as a symbolic can reject mala disastrous, so that people who perform the ceremony avoid danger.
